Why an electrolysis course can take longer

Laser, waxing, sugaring and epilators all affect how long an electrolysis course takes. Here is why, and what to do before your sessions.

Warm wax dripping from a spatula over the heater

How you removed hair before has a big impact on how long your electrolysis course takes.

After laser hair removal

Laser is a lottery. There is no way to predict how fast or after how long the hair will start to grow back. After poor-quality laser there is a sudden surge of hair. After good laser the result is clear and hair goes quickly, but we still can’t predict when it will start coming back. And it will. The course can take 2.5 years or more. For a full comparison, see Electrolysis vs laser.

After waxing, sugaring and epilators

Hair can grow unevenly and go “dormant” for 3–6 months. After a few electrolysis sessions, most of the hair then grows back at once. The course can take up to 2 years.

The best option: a razor

Shaved hair is dense and easy to see, and the follicles are straight, not distorted. This saves treatment time and your money.

All we need from you is patience and trust, and then you can forget about the hair for good.
