How we sterilize tools: 5 steps of electrolysis hygiene

How we sterilize tweezers, why needles are single-use and what we disinfect after every visit. 5 hygiene steps at Tok Shok Studio.

Starting a sterilization cycle on the autoclave

Sterility is the foundation of safe electrolysis. Every pair of tweezers goes through a full sterilization cycle.

The 5 steps

  1. Disinfection. Tools are immersed in a disinfectant solution for the required time.
  2. Rinsing and drying. They are then rinsed under running water and laid out on a clean towel to dry.
  3. Sterilization. Once dry, the tools are sealed in sterilization pouches and placed in the sterilizer. The pouch is opened in front of you.
  4. Single-use needles. We only work with single-use needles. The needle is also opened in front of you and disposed of after the session. Needles are never reused.
  5. Workstation disinfection. After every client we disinfect the treatment bed, lamp, chair and device, wipe down every bottle and air the room.

Gloves, sheets, masks and underwear are all single-use.

So you don’t have to worry about whether the tools are sterile and safe for your health. Read more about our standards on the About page.
