Good preparation makes the treatment faster, more effective and more comfortable. Here are 8 tips to keep in mind.

  1. Read the contraindications.
  2. Take a warm shower before your visit. You should not shower for the first 24 hours after electrolysis.
  3. Let the hair grow: 2–3 mm on the face and 4–5 mm on the body.
  4. Wait 3–4 weeks after sugaring, waxing or an epilator. You can shave during this time, but don’t pull hair out by the root.
  5. Drink water. Water conducts current well, so aim for about 30 ml of water per kilogram of body weight to keep your skin hydrated.
  6. Tint fine, light hairs the day before with brow or lash dye. They will be easier to see.
  7. Wear loose, comfortable clothes. For the bikini area, wear clean cotton underwear.
  8. Come in a good mood. Trust and calm are the key to a successful session.
