How electrolysis feels to you depends on several factors.

The 5 factors

  1. Your individual pain threshold. Some people’s is higher, some people’s lower.
  2. The treatment area. Different parts of the body have different numbers of nerve endings, so one area can be more sensitive than another.
  3. Your menstrual cycle phase. A few days after your period is thought to be the best time, when the pain threshold is higher. This is only a rough guide, because every body is different.
  4. The state of your nervous system. Hunger, tiredness or lack of sleep can lower your pain threshold.
  5. Your psychological and emotional state. Worry and fear make pain feel stronger. Try not to be nervous before the session.
